Good surgical care should feel calm, clear, and human, even when the procedure sounds intimidating.

Dr Vince was born in Taiwan and now calls Brisbane home. He completed his dental training at the University of Queensland and has built his clinical interests around oral surgery, especially wisdom teeth removal and dental implants.

The part patients tend to notice first is his personality. He is lighthearted, quick to laugh, and good at making serious treatment feel more approachable. That does not mean he treats planning casually. For surgical cases, he takes time to explain what is happening, why it matters, and what to expect before, during, and after the appointment.

Dr Vince enjoys work that combines precise planning with a calm patient experience. Whether someone is anxious about wisdom teeth or weighing up implant options, his aim is simple: help them feel informed, looked after, and comfortable asking every question.

Outside the Clinic

Outside the surgery, Dr Vince enjoys Brisbane life and brings that same relaxed, good-humoured energy back to the clinic.

  • Known around the clinic for keeping the mood light with a quick joke and an easy smile.
  • Originally from Taiwan, he now proudly calls Brisbane home.

Any surgical or invasive procedure carries risks. Before proceeding, you should seek a second opinion from an appropriately qualified health practitioner.

BDSc (Hon Class I, UQ) · 5+ years of experience · Speaks English & Mandarin

I want patients to feel heard first. Once people feel comfortable, good dentistry becomes much easier.

Originally from Taiwan, Dr John moved to Australia as a teenager and completed his Bachelor of Dental Science with Class I Honours at the University of Queensland. He has worked in general practice in tropical North Queensland and has now settled on the Sunshine Coast to be closer to family and enjoy the coastal lifestyle.

John enjoys all aspects of general dentistry and is known for his gentle, steady manner with patients. He takes pride in building strong relationships, listening properly, and tailoring care to the person in front of him rather than rushing straight to treatment.

For patients who feel nervous about seeing the dentist, John's calm and caring nature can make a real difference. He explains things clearly, checks in along the way, and helps people feel comfortable asking questions. He is also fluent in Mandarin, allowing him to communicate with patients from diverse backgrounds in a more familiar way.
